Zoe Tillman | Bloomberg News (TNS)Minutes into a hearing on whether Donald Trump is constitutionally barred from being president again, Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Natalie Hudson jumped in with her biggest concern: There could be “chaos” if some states keep Trump off 2024 ballots while others allow him on.“Should we do it,” she asked, “even if we could do it?”It’s a question looming over the growing number of lawsuits seeking to disqualify Trump from another term in the White House because of his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. What began as a largely academic exercise a few years ago over a constitutional ban on “insurrectionists” holding office collided with reality last week as judges in Minnesota and Colorado for the first time heard evidence and arguments.Lawyers and judges involved in these cases have signaled they believe it’s ultimately a fight for the U.S. Supreme Court to resolve. He’ll go on the injured list and will have to miss four games. The earliest Wills could be back is Dec. 10 against Jacksonville.“Jed’s played some really strong games for us,” Stefanski said on a Zoom call. “I thought he was playing well in that last one yesterday as well. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Reliever Blake Treinen’s 2024 club option was exercised Monday by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The complicated option’s price appeared to be $1 million because of shoulder surgery he had last November. The 35-year-old right-hander has been limited to five major league innings since the start of the 2022 season as the result of shoulder issues that required the surgery, which involved the labrum and rotator cuff repair. Treinen began a minor league rehab assignment in August, but only threw 2 1/3 innings over three appearances. He first signed with the Dodgers in December 2019. Treinen is 36-31 with a 2.86 ERA and 79 saves in nine seasons with Washington (2014-17), Oakland (2017-19) and the Dodgers.___AP MLB: https://apnews.com/hub/mlbSource
